Neutrals & Gold

Since fall is officially here (yes, I'm a little late to the party) cue the fall fashion posts! Maybe I'll find a photographer & do some actual outfit posts. Anyone in the Lansing area??

Growing up, my mom always bought me silver jewelry and I was subconsciously biased against gold. As rose gold jewelry gained in popularity, I started trying out gold. I absolutely love the way gold looks mixed with neutrals.

One of my wardrobe staples is a simple v-neck sweater in lots of different colors. Find the perfect sweater & buy 5. I'm not kidding. I love the sweaters from Target - they're cheap and chic, what could be better?

My favorite combination for fall this year is a neutral sweater and gold necklace.

Jeweliq has the cutest necklaces (and all jewelry for that matter) under $25! I had to resist buying almost everything looking for necklaces!

What's your fall wardrobe staple?

Five on Friday: Think Pink Edition

In case you missed the memo - October is breast cancer awareness month. Which means a giant influx of pink! I've gathered five of my favorite pink items to show support for this great cause.

Komen Candle Holders: These remind me of the candle I got when I was a part of Teens for the Cure in high school. Such a cute way to show your support & even better when you put a yummy smelling candle inside.

IZZE Soda: I love IZZE! It comes in so many delicious flavors & I like to pretend it's kind of good for you soda.

J. Crew Sweater: The other great thing about October? Sweater weather! I love being able to pull out all my sweaters for fall, but this bright hue still brings a reminder of summer.

MayDesigns Notebook: I love May Designs & their entire Think Pink collection donates to breast cancer awareness! Shopping for philanthropy - what could be better?

Nico & Lala Acrylic Tray: I blame Psych for my obsession with pineapples. How cute is this acrylic tray? It would be a perfect catchall for keys, change, you name it!

What are you favorite pink things for October?

Five on Friday: Recruitment Survival

Greek life at MSU can finally do a happy dance - formal recruitment is over! But for anyone who hasn't had recruitment yet, here's five essentials to surviving recruitment whether you are a potential member or an active.

Bobby Pins | Because you never know what could happen to your hair!

Iced Coffee | For the mid-afternoon (or lunch time) slump because you got barely enough sleep the night before.

Blister Block | You never know when a blister could strike and this stick is a lifesaver!

Cough Drops | Recruitment means hours on end of talking. Have a cough drop in between houses to keep your voice!

Mentos Mints | If you choose a chewy mint you never have to worry about crunching on one a minute before the next event starts.

What's in your essentials for sorority recruitment?
